The Kaduna State Government has lifted the curfew in Kaduna metropolis and environs.
A statement by Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, said the order is with immediate effect and residents are now free to go about their legitimate businesses at anytime of the day.
The curfew will however subsist in some areas according to the statement which read in part: “However, a security review has determined that curfew hours be retained in Kujama, Kasuwan Magani and Kachia towns in the state.
“Nighttime curfew in Kachia is from 10pm to 6am. For Kasuwan Magani and Kujama the curfew remains from 5pm to 6am.

“The Kaduna State Security Council commends residents for upholding the peace, and urges residents to continue to cooperate with the security agencies,” the statement read.
Recall that curfew had been imposed on some parts of Kaduna State following the crisis that engulfed the state in the wake of the kidnap and killing of the Monarch in one of the communities.
The hours of the curfew were later restricted to night-time on October 31st 2018 following the restoration of relative peace in the areas.
