National Youth Network on HIV/AIDS Population and Development has charged Nigerian youths to be part of the solution to the challenges affecting the nation.
The State coordinator, Mr Benjamin Anhange, gave the charge at a rally to mark the International Youth Day in Makurdi, the Benue State capital with the theme: “Youth Engagement for Global Action”
Mr Anhange and members of the group who noted that the youth are ready to contribute their quota to the development of the society said youth inclusiveness will address issues of good governance, climate change, gender related issues as well as the Covid-19 pandemic.

Anhange called on all institutions and government to engage the young people meaningfully in all aspects of planning and execution of developmental activities for positive change.
The group called for the elimination of every form of discrimination against People Living with Disabilities (PWD), and urged their involvement in nation building.
They also demanded comprehensive mental health services for youth population, tasking the youth to work towards achieving 2030 sustainable development Goals (SDGs).
The rally, which is part of measures to create awareness for youth in the state and Nigeria on the need to keep safe from unprotected sex and COVID-19 pandemic, also called on government at all levels to influence youth friendly policies and programmes for the overall benefit Nigerian youth population.
