The National office of Christians United For Israel (CUFI) in Nigeria has called on Nigerians to pray without ceasing as a sure way to ending the incessant killing of innocent people, occasioned by insurgency in the country.
The Christian association has also appealed to the federal government to support families and organizations to call the youths to a roundtable to ascertain reasons for their behaviours.
The Interim National Coordinator, CUFI Nigeria, Mati Acka who made the call while speaking to the Next Edition in Makurdi said the incessant kidnappings, killing of Nigerians, particularly Christians, calls for prayers.
She noted that CUFI has been praying because “we have no might of our own, we have no powers anywhere. CUFI is a prayer outreach where prayers are made over any and every situation; whether it is Christians that are not being killed, whether things are going wrong with Nigeria, whatever it is, we are ready to cry out to God.

“All we ask everyone who is on the Lord’s side is, please don’t hold back your voice. Let’s pray.
“We at CUFI, internationally has the sympathy of Nigeria at heart. For the killings against the church, we mourn every day and the association in Nigeria commiserates with the families that are mourning,” Acka said.
She further pointed out that the Nigerian youth must be engaged in a round table discussion to find lasting solutions that can put an end to the killings in the country.
She said, “The Federal government should support homes, support organizations like the media to organize programmes and call families and the youths to a round table to find out what their challenges are and why they do what they do. This will be a way forward. Otherwise, we continue to pray,” she said.
