The Chief Of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, is presently holding a meeting with Principal Staff Officers and top army commanders on the security situation in the country.

In attendance at the meeting holding at turn Army Headquarters, Abuja, were the General Officers Commanding of all the divisions of the Nigerian Army, commanders of the various army operations, unit commanders, commander, Guards Brigade, and other top officers.

The parley, which agenda was not made known is holding against the backdrop of the recent violence and destruction of public and private properties witnessed across the country.

The carnage followed the hijacking of the two week old peaceful #EndSARS protests by hoodlums.

The #EndSARS protesters had demanded the scrapping of the Police Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS), an end to police brutality and total reform of the Nigeria Police Force.
