The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate posting and redeployment of senior police officers to various zones and formations in the country.
The officers affected are the newly promoted Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, on Friday gave the names of the officers as the follows: Dan Bature, fdc – AIG DFA FHQ; Hyelasinda Kimo Musa – AIG PMF; Yunana Y. Babas, mni- AIG Zone 8 Lokoja; Dan Mallam Mohammed,fdc – AIG SPU and Mua’zu Zubairu Halilu – AIG CTU.

Others are Rabiu Yusuf – AIG ICT; Ahmed Iliyasu – AIG Zone 2, Lagos; Mohammed Uba Kura – AIG Maritime; Zaki M. Ahmed – AIG Zone 6, Calabar; Zama Bala Senchi – AIG Community Policing; Bello A. Sadiq – AIG Zone 1, Kano; Austin Agbonlahor Iwero,fdc – AIG DOPS FHQ and Lawal Ado – AIG Works.
The Inspector-General of Police enjoined the AIGs to put their vast experiences and professionalism to use in advancing the fortunes of the Force as well as “ensure adequate supervision of their respective departments/formations to enhance the ongoing drive at repositioning the Force for improved service delivery.”
