Professor Okechukwu Edward Okeke of the Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, will on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 deliver the 3rd Inaugural Lecture of the University.
The title of the lecture is “Of Restructuring And Related Matters: The Historian As Moderator. ”
The lecture, according to an invitation sent out by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Seth Accra Jaja, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and the entire University Community, will take place at the University Auditorium, East Campus, Otuoke.
The lecture off 11am.
The question of restructuring has been on the front burner of national discourse with those for and against marshaling reasons for their position.
Based on the importance attached to the issue, it is therefore expected that Professor Okeke’s lecture will bring new perspectives to the topic.
Guests at the lecture are expected to be drawn from the academic community as well as politicians, both those for and against restructuring.
Professor Okeke, an accomplished Historian, earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka; secured his Master of Arts (M.A) from the University of Benin and his Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from University of Port Harcourt.
