The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, on Thursday submitted a list of new Commissioners/ Special Advisers to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The nominees are Ini Ememobong, the current publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Augustine Umoh, a Professor of Medicine and Provost of the College of Health Science, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital and Frank Archibong, Chairman of Eket Local Government Council and and ALGON Chairman.

Others are Imo Moffat, Pro. Eno James Ibanga, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Akwa Ibom State University, Ini Adiakpan, a woman activist, Enobong Udemeabasi Mbobo and Amaman Nkanga, the younger brother to the two-term Director-General (DG) of the Governor’s Campaign Organization, Divine Mandate, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (retd).
At the plenary, Mrs Mandu Umoren, Clerk of the House read the Governor’s letter.
In his remark, Mr. Aniekan Bassey, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly accepted the letter and forwarded same to House Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Public Petition for screening and recommendation.
