He explained that the news of the governor’s action had already got to the students who were very excited and had sent their words of appreciation to the government for keeping up to its responsibilities.‎

According to him, the governor is so passionate about education ‎that was why he did not allow the current and very harsh economic situation in the country which had affected the state’s finances badly to hinder the success of the administration’s educational programmes.

‎Iworiso-Markson however added that the situation was the reason for the delay in clearing the arrears and e‎xpressed the appreciation of the governor and the entire restoration government to authorities of the university for their extreme show of understanding.

The Chief Press Secretary who used the opportunity to assure the students  of the commitment of the governor to their welfare also appealed‎ to them to reciprocate the gesture by making the state proud in their academic and social conduct.
