Former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has been hospitalised following a heart disease.
His lawyer, Mr. Norrison Quakers (SAN), made this known on Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Fani-Kayode who was the Director of Publicity of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential campaign organisation for the 2015 election was to appear before the court over alleged involvement in a fraud to the tune of N4.9 billion.
But giving excuse for his absence, his lawyer disclosed that he had been hospitalised as a result of a heart disease, hence could not appear.
He therefore sought an adjournment and told the court that he would provide a medical report to support his claim of Fani-Kayode’s ill-health.

He prayed for an adjournment which was granted.
The case, according to the presiding judge, Justice Rilwan Aikawa, would be continued on February 28 and March 1 and 2, 2018.
Fani-Kayode is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged case of money laundering.
The former Minister of State for Finance, Nenadi Usman, one Danjuma Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Dimensions Limited, were joined as defendants.
The 17-count charge were hinged on alleged conspiracy, unlawful retention of proceeds of theft and money laundering.
The defendants have however pleaded innocent of the charges.
