The agency also predicted that the southern states would experience mist/fog morning hours with hazy conditions over some parts and cloudy conditions over southwest coast later into the day.

It also predicted partly cloudy conditions over the South-East coast during the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 34 and 17 to 23 degrees celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze conditions over Kano, Katsina, Maiduguri, Nguru and Damaturu, while northwest is expected to experience hazy conditions throughout the forecast period.

“The Northern cities are also expected to have day and night temperatures in the range of 27 to 32 and 7 to 19 degrees celsius.

“The North-Western states are expected to be in dust haze condition with sunny and hazy weather conditions over the North-East.

“Hazy conditions will still prevail over much of the country with dust haze over the North-East as fresh dust is expected.

A few clouds are likely over the south in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
