An Abuja-based clergyman, I. O. Samuel had prophesied about an imminent problem for Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

In a short video sighted by this newspaper, Mr. Samuel, the General Overseer of Shiloh Word Chapel is seen calling for prayers for the vice president.

The church is located off Apo Mechanic Village by New Kabusa Road in Abuja and the video was shared by its media arm, Shiloh Love TV.

In the video, the prophet said, “Listen to this prophecy. I am seeing disintegration in the leadership of this country. Pray for Osinbajo. Pray for Osinbajo. I have never said this before.

“Remember three weeks ago, I brought out a flag that I saw blood at the middle. It has started happening but after the prayer, it reduced to shooting children like rats in the gutter.

“I was in Lagos when I saw it. That is a reduction of one per cent of what I saw. Pray for the vice president.”

As the congregation went into intense prayer, he continued, “Father I ask you to have mercy upon the vice president of Nigeria. Lord the signals I have been seeing is confirmed. If this country will move forward, let it move forward in peace. Father, please not in pieces.”

“Lift your hands and ask God for mercy,” he told the congregation, just as the video comes to an end.

The NEXT EDITION could not, however, verify when the video was shot as members of the church who were contacted confirmed it but would not speak on it.

Mr. Osinbajo had escaped death as his helicopter crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State on Saturday.

However, the vice president and the other crew in the chopper escaped unhurt and continued with his engagement for the day.

It is the second time Mr Osinbajo’s helicopter would crash-land.

In June 2017, he survived a similar accident when the chopper he was travelling in crash-landed shortly after take-off in Gwagawalada, Abuja.

The vice president had gone to Gwagwalada to attend the graduation of 40 senior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

In a statement, the Managing Director, Caverton Helicopters, Capt. Josiah Choms, owners of the Saturday crashed chopper, confirmed the accident saying relevant aviation agencies had been informed about the incident and investigations have begun.

“An Augsto AW139 Helicopter under management by Caverton Helicopters was involved in a mishap on landing in Kabba, Kogi State on February 2, 2019, as a result of unusual weather conditions,” the statement read.

“There were no injuries to the passengers or crew on board and they were all quickly and safely evacuated. The relevant authorities have been duly informed and an investigation into the incident has commenced. We will, of course, support the authorities as required.

“We wish to reassure the public and our various stakeholders of our unwavering commitment to safety in all our operations.”
