The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on Tuesday congratulated Professor Ibrahim Gambari, on his appointment as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Though the Federal Government had not formally announced the appointment as at the time of filing this report, the Emir in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Abdulazeez Arowona, said the appointment of Prof. Gambari was great honour to the entire people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwarans at large.
He expressed confidence that Prof. Gambari, a distinguished scholar and international diplomat, would add enormous value to the Buhari administration.

“He will surely bring to fore his wealth of experience as an academician, former Minister, former Diplomat, former University Chancellor, Prince of the renown Alimi dynasty, family man and community leader of high repute,” the Monarch said.
He wished the new CoS a successful tenure in office.
Prof. Gambari, who met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday morning at the State House, Abuja, replaces the former Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who died last month from COVID-19 related complications.
