Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the governor congratulated all Muslim faithful in Oyo state and Nigeria in general, for witnessing the 2020 Eid-el-Maulud.

He charged every Muslim to imbibe the spirit of love, patience, and perseverance, which according to him, are virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

According to the statement, Makinde stressed that the good virtues will guarantee peace and security in the state and the country as a whole.

The governor admonished all stakeholders in the state to work towards restoring lasting peace following the disruptions that followed the recent protests across the land.

According to him, it is everyone’s responsibility to make Oyo state peaceful and progressive.
