He said, “I want to extend hearty compliments to the Islamic Community in Cross River on this sublime occasion of Eid-El Fitr; I commend their peaceful disposition and solidarity for the Ayade-led administration.”

Ayade also expressed the willingness of his administration to remain focused in ensuring that Cross River State maintains its reputation as a habitable destination for business and leisure.

In a related development, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has said that God will see Nigeria through her numerous challenges.

Obiano, stated this in his message to Nigerian Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El Fitr celebration with other Muslims across the world.

The governor, congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the spiritual exercise of the Ramadan Fast, stressing that the exercise offered them a chance for soul searching and constructive dialogue.

He said since all religions preached peace and the supreme power of the Creator, Nigerians irrespective of religion should work to build a nation anchored on the fear of God and love of the country.

Observing that religion gives humanity hope and strength, Obiano, said that the present generation has a responsibility to make the nation’s politics less divisive and more inclusive.

Accordingly, the governor called for the use of democratic means in advancing national dialogue and charged Nigerians to pray for their leaders in order to promote justice and rapid development in the country.
