The Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested one Stanley Onoriode Ekemaye, said to be the brain behind the arrest of Justice Chioma Iheme-Nwosu of the Court of Appeal, Benin Division.
Iheme-Nwosu was abducted on October 30 and was held captive for two weeks. Her police Orderly was killed during the kidnap.
Ekemaye, described as a “notorious kidnap kingpin” who allegedly masterminded several high profile kidnaps in Edo, Delta and Rivers States, was arrested by the secret police in the early hours of Tuesday at Okwuzi Egbema in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA in Rivers State.

Besides being involved in kidnappings, Ekemaye is also believed to have been coordinating robberies in the three states for several years.
Some of his alleged victims include, Francisca Okhiria, wife of the managing director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation, Sylvanus Okogbenin, the chief medical officer of Irrua Speicalist Hospital, Elizabeth Mekuye, sister-in-law to Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta state, among others.
