Senator Shehu Sani has urged supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari not to insult or attack Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka over his condemnation of the president’s style of leadership.

In his New Year Message, Mbaka had warned the president to change his ways of leadership or suffer defeat in the coming general election.

He alleged that the Presidency had been hijacked by some cabals and that except Buhari sacked them, he would be sacked.

In fact, he said except he changed his style, he should not attempt to contest the coming election because he would be disgraced.

But noting that the statement by Mbaka did not go down well with supporters of the president, many who had called on the president to run for the presidency in 2019, Sani gave a warning.

In a statement made on his twitter handle he said Mbaka should not be insulted.

His tweet reads:  “If you once celebrated Father Mbaka for telling you what you like and now he is telling you what you don’t like, please be courteous and don’t insult or attack him. It is natural for people not to agree all the time.”

It would be recalled that in 2014, Father Mbaka in a message to Nigerians while standing at the pulpit, lambasted former President Goodluck Jonathan for his style of leadership and prophesied that he would be defeated in the 2015 election.

True to his prediction, Buhari defeated Jonathan and became the president.

Mbaka has also released a similar statement warning President Buhari to be wary.
