The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, says they are looking forward to a more peaceful and united Nigeria at the end of the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
They have therefore, appealed to politicians in Benue state and Nigeria not to cause problems but to be patient and exercise restraint should they lose out in the general elections.
The National Secretary of PFN, Emmanuel Nuhu-Kure, who made this appeal while briefing journalists in Makurdi, also intimated that PFN would be holding her 15th National Biennial Conference, next week at the IBB square, Makurdi.
Apostle Kure, while appealing to politicians not to create problems for Nigerians out of their own selfish interest, observed that it would be irresponsible for anyone to ignite the country because he lost out in an election.
He noted with regret that the country is already facing an intense situation arising from insecurity, religious, ethnic and other divides and appealed to politicians to pursue the common good of the land.
He called on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of unity and patience assuring that the men of God who will converge on Makurdi under the PFN will commit Nation and the forthcoming elections into God’s hand for peace and unity.

The man of God also prayed against untimely deaths among journalists assuring that after the 15th Biennial conference, the politics of division which has become the bane of unity in the country will change forever.
Also speaking at the conference, the Executive Secretary, National Christian Pilgrims Commission, Rev Tor Uja harped on the need to reposition the country saying the conference was not only timely but God ordained.
According to him, Christians all over the country will use the opportunity to fellowship, evangelize and make prophetic declarations that will break all the chains that hold the state back and further create opportunities for healing and development of the state.
Tor Uja told journalists after a meeting of PFN leaders and pastors in Makurdi that they had met to harmonize all strands of PFN in the state and synergize for the success of the conference and for healing and development of Benue and Nigeria as a whole.
