Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West, Kogi State, is back.
He was reported to have been abducted on Thursday by some gunmen who blocked him along Gwagwalada –Abuja Highways.
According to one of his associates, Musa Shuaibu, Mr. Melaye was on his way to Lokoja, the Kogi State capital to appear before a Magistrate Court to answer charges of gunrunning.
The attackers were said to have come in a Toyota Hilux and a Sienna bus.
But barely 24 hours after he was reported to have been abducted, Melay reappeared.
Announcing his return, Melaye tweeted: “Dino Melaye
“I thank God once again for escaping another dangerous attack. I also thank Nigerians for their prayers and show of Love.

“Spent 11 hours in the wilderness traumatized but God preserved me. God is the best and in whom ONLY I trust. They will continue to try. WE SHALL OVERCOME!!!”
The Nigeria Police Force on Thursday announced that it had commenced a probe into the alleged kidnap of Melaye.
Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, made this known in a statement he issued.
He said apart from the reports in the media, nobody had reported the case to the police.
He therefore called on anyone who had useful information about the case to assist the police with it at the nearest station.
His words: “The Force has commenced investigation into the purported kidnap of Senator Dino Melaye, and wishes to implore any of his family members, relatives or friends who witnessed the kidnap or have information about the purported kidnap of the Senator to report the incident at the nearest police station to assist the police in the investigation.”
