The remains of the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Commerce and Industry, Deji Tinubu, were interred on Tuesday in Lagos.
Tinubu slumped and died last Thursday during a novelty football match played as part of a retreat organised by the Lagos State government for members of the Lagos State Executive Council at Epe in Lagos.
He was rushed to the hospital when First Aid proved ineffective to revive him, but was discovered to have died.
Tinubu was buried at the Vaults and Gardens in Ikoyi, Lagos.
A funeral service held for him at the City of David parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victoria Island was attended by prominent personalities in the country.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, graced the occasion.
Also present among others were Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, and members of the Lagos State Executive Council.
