Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has cautioned the Inspector General of Police not to intimidate Mrs. Busola Dakolo and her husband, Timi over the rape allegation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.
Fatoyinbo was the Senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, until rape allegation forced him to step aside from the pulpit.
Mrs. Buhari’s comment was in reaction to the police invitation on the Dakolos over allegations of mischief, falsehood and threat to life.
The Dakolos had been asked to report at the Police Command Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday as part of an “investigation of a criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief, and threat to life”
Timi Dakolo shared copies of the letter dated July 18 served on himself and his wife on his Instagram handle but has later deleted them.
Recall that Busola had recently accused Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was still 16 years, an allegation which he has denied.
Reacting on her twitter account, Buhari called the attention of the IGP saying he must say no to rape and to intimidation while also calling for justice for rape victims.
The tweet read: “ATTENTION : INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE #SayNoToRape #JusticeForRapeVictims #SayNoToIntimidation.”
