COVID-19: UCH Restricts Entry Into Premises

The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has announced a restriction on those who can come into its premises due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Oyo state.

A circular by the hospital’s Director of Administration, S.O. Oladejo, sent on behalf of the Chief Medical Director to all members of staff, noted that “In view of the steps taken to curtail its (COVID-19) spread, the management has directed further that only members of staff and visitors who are car owners and have patients in the ward, will be allowed to enter the hospital in order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus within UCH community.”

The statement dated March 23, 2020, also enjoined staff to avail themselves of the hospital’s sticker as only those who display the sticker will be allowed entry into the premises of the hospital.

So far, Oyo State has recorded one confirmed case of Coronavirus out of the 40 confirmed in the country.
