COVID-19: Plateau Tops Single Day Infections Table As NCDC Confirms 138 Fresh Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed 138 new COVID-19 infections with Plateau State accounting for the highest number.

The state recorded 55 cases to lead 13 other states and the Federal Capital Territory, which recorded new infections on Sunday.

The other states with new infections include: Lagos – 15; Ebonyi – 11; Oyo – 11; Abia-8; Anambra -7; FCT – 7; Rivers – 7; Kaduna – 6; Ondo – 5; Kwara – 3; Bauchi – 1; Benue – 1; Edo – 1.

Meanwhile, the health body said two deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

According to an update on the NCDC’s Twitter account, 53, 865 cases have so far been confirmed , 41, 513 cases have been discharged while 1,013 deaths have been recorded in the country.
