The first batch of Nigerians evacuated from the United Kingdom have landed in Lagos.

Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, made this known via a tweet on her verified Twitter handle on Friday.

According to her, the evacuees will proceed to Abuja where they will be quarantined.

She wrote: “First evacuation from the Uk. Has landed Lagos . The passengers will be proceeding to Abuja where they will be on 14 day compulsory isolation.
First flight arriving Lagos today at about “1.30 pm. Then heads to Abuja . Returnees will be quarantined in Abuja.”
