The Federal Government has announced the closure of all the country’s airports to all international flights.
It said the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos; and the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja would be shut effective Monday, March 23.
Recall that the Federal Government earlier on Friday, March 20, announced the closure of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers and Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Before that, the government had banned flights from 15 COVID-19 high risk countries.
This was disclosed by the Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad on Saturday.
“UPDATE: The Federal Government has just announced the closure of all the country’s airports to all international flights. Part of the intensive measures being taken to prevent the #coronavirus outbreak in the country. More details soon. #Covid19Nigeria,” he tweeted.
