A branch of Christ Embassy church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital, was sealed off by the State Government on Sunday.
The church was alleged to have flouted guidelines for reopening of churches to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The Secretary to the State Government, Emmanuel Ekuwem, who announced the development in a statement, expressed dismay at the action of the pastors and congregants who reportedly attacked members of the state COVID-19 monitoring team.
