About 327 Nigerians stranded in the UK as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic have been evacuated home.

They arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday evening and have proceeded to self isolate according to protocols established by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), in a tweet on its office Twitter account.

The tweet read: “327 evacuees arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja today, August 9, 2020, at about 1750HRS from the Gatwick Airport, London UK via @flyairpeace Flight No. P47854 operated by Air Europa Flight No AEA855.

“They have all proceeded on a 14 day SELF ISOLATION as madanted by @NCDCgov and Presidential Task Force on #Covid_19.”
