The murder charge against the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Moshood Salvador, has been dismissed by an Ikeja High Court.
The murder charge was filed against Salvador and ten others following the killing of the Chairman of the PDP in Apapa local government area of Lagos State, Mr. Adeniyi Aborishade, during the party’s “visitation meeting” held at Igbosuku Village, Eti-Osa local government area on July 21.
Salvador was arraigned at a Yaba Magistrate Court, along with others on a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful killing on July 25.
They were ordered remanded in Kirikiri Prison even after pleading not guilty.

But the charge against Salvador was dismissed on Tuesday by the vacation judge, Justice Obafemi Adamson.
The decision was taken after he entertained submissions from counsels in a counter suit challenging the charge filed by Salvador against the state.
He said following the advice from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) exonerating Salvador from the murder charge, he should be let off the hook.
Others charged along with Salvador are Kehinde Fasasi; Rotimi Kujore; Fatai Adele; Ismaila Abiola and Amos Fawole.
Victoria Falowo; Mukaila Odukoya; Oropo Isaac; Mohammed Abu Babangida and Ugochukwu Nwoke were also charged and detained.
