The case of alleged money laundering against former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Jumoke Akinjide and two others, is to commence on September 12th this year.
The others charged along with Akinjide are a former member of the Senate, Ayo Adeseun, and female politician in Ibadan, Mrs Olanrewaju Otiti.
This is as the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan granted bail to the accused.
They are standing trial on a 24-count charge bordering on money laundering.
At the resumed hearing, counsel to Chief Akinjide, Chief Richard Ogunwole moved an application of urgency, seeking bail on self recognition on the grounds that the defendant had been cooperating since the case began.
Counsel to Adeseun, Ola Adeosun pleaded with the court to grant bail to the accused.
Ruling on the bail application, the trial judge, Justice Joyce Abdumalik granted accused persons bail on condition.
While Chief Akinjide was granted on grounds of self recognition, Senator Adeseun and Mrs Otiti were granted bail in the sum of N100 million each with a surety in like sum.
