The Nigeria Railway Corporation said it will stop all train services from Monday, March 23, following the recent increase in the number of Nigerians who have tested positive to the coronavirus.
The Corporation in a brief statement on Sunday said further information would be made available to passengers.
The statement signed by the Deputy Director Public Relations of the Corporation, Yakub Mahmood, read: “The Board and Management of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) have decided to stop all passengers’ train operation as from Monday 23rd March 2020.

“This is in view of the report of the already known Coronavirus outbreak.
“Further information on passengers’ train services will be made available in due cause to our esteemed passengers.”
