The Presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, have added three more states each to the number of states already won from last Saturday’s Presidential election.
Out of the six states announced so far on Tuesday, APC took three, namely; Niger, Jigawa and Kaduna. The PDP on the hand grabbed Anambra, Oyo and Adamawa, the home state of its presidential candidate.
It was however a tight win in Adamawa as the margin of win for the PDP was a meagre 32, 188 votes.
The results were presented by the different Returning Officers of the states.
In Niger State, President Buhari polled 612, 371 to defeat Atiku Abubakar who polled 218, 052. In Jigawa, Buhari scored 794, 738 while Atiku scored 289, 895 and in Kaduna, the President garnered 993, 445 while Atiku got 649, 612.

In Anambra state Atiku received 524, 738 votes while Buhari trailed with 33, 298 votes. In Oyo, the PDP candidate got 366, 690 as against 365, 229 scored by the APC candidate. In the home state of the PDP candidate, Adamawa, he received 410,226 while the APC candidate received 378, 078 votes.
On Monday, INEC had declared President Buhari winner in seven states and Atiku winner in four states and the FCT.
With their additional three states, Buhari now has 10 states while Atiku is following closely with eight.
