Service Chiefs on Monday finally appeared before the House of Representatives to discuss the national security issues.
However the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai and the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Adamu Muhammed, were absent at the meeting, but were represented.
According to the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, the meeting is aimed at finding out how the National Assembly could help in the fight against insecurity, and also why there are still concerns of insecurity in the country despite the success claims of the military.
The meeting is currently on going behind closed doors.
Recall that the service chiefs had on Friday failed to honour the invitation of the lawmakers, making a visibly angry Gbajabiamila to threaten to report them to President Muhammadu Buhari.
