Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, on Boxing Day feted Rivers Children from the 23 Local Government Areas in an entertaining Christmas Party.

The Rivers Christmas Children Party, which took place at the forecourt of the Government House Port Harcourt, also attracted children of non-indigenes resident in the state.

Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike personally reached out to the children as she handed them their gifts upon their arrival for the 2019 Christmas Party.

The 2019 Rivers Children Christmas Party witnessed dancing competition, comedy and games for all the Children. The Children were also treated to assorted cuisines.

Addressing the children, Justice Nyesom-Wike said that the theme of this Year’s Rivers Christmas Children Party is: “A Thankful Rivers State.”

She said: “The State Appreciates God for all the wonderful things that He has done for the state in 2019. God has been merciful to Rivers State. His love is endless and indescribable.

“A lot has happened this year. But God kept us together and we are happy.”

She said that Christmas is about the birth of Christ, who was sent by God to reconcile humanity to God Almighty.

“Christmas is about the birth of Christ who was sent by God to reconcile humanity to Himself.

“This is the time families come together to celebrate the birth of Christ. We should all be thankful to God for giving us his precious Son to save us and reconcile us with Him. It is a a time to give thanks”, she said.

The Rivers Governor’s Wife thanked Rivers Children for the mass turnout. She said that the party was approved by the Rivers State Governor for the right social interaction at the end of the year.

Highpoint of the 2019 Rivers State Christmas was the cutting of the cake by the Wife of the Rivers State Governor, wives of top Government Officials, selected children and parents.

Speaking to journalists, selected children who attended the 2019 Rivers State Christmas Children Party expressed happiness with the quality of entertainment and the show of motherly love by the Wife of the Rivers State Governor.
