Chelsea’s hope of making the top four in the English Premier was further dampened as they lost to Tottenham Hotspur 1-3 at Stamford Bridge Sunday afternoon.
It was a must win game for Chelsea who sit in fifth position in the English Premier League.
They went into the game five points behind Tottenham in fourth position.
Only the top four teams in the English Premier League will make it to the UEFA Champions League.
As it stands now, Antonio Conte and his men may not make it to next season’s champion’s league.
The game started like a basketball match with end to end attacks.

The deadlock was broken in the 33rd minute with Alvaro Morata’s header.
On the stroke of half time Christian Eriksen equalized with a thunderous shot from outside the box.
The Chelsea goalkeeper, Willy Caballero, jumped and stretched as high as he could but it wasn’t enough for him to make a save.
In the second half Dele Ali scored a brace to make it 3-1 in favour of Tottenham.
This loss for Chelsea sees them fall eight points behind Tottenham.
For the Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, and his players, they have been able to do what other Tottenham teams in the past were not able to do.
They beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 21 years.
As it stands now, a top four finish looks almost impossible for Chelsea with five games remaining before the end of the season.
