President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday spoke with the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates in commending him for his consistent and generous support to charitable causes worldwide.
According to presidential aide, Garba Shehu, the president specifically lauded him for supporting the eradication of polio and HIV diseases in Africa and Nigeria in particular.

In a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, Shehu said Gates on his part, congratulated the President on his victory at the polls for another four years in office.
He quoted Gates as saying that he was happy to be associated with the President saying he was willing to do more for the country.
President Buhari reiterated his opinion that Gates’ wealth had benefited Nigeria’s development, and expressed appreciation for the call.
