President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill.
A statement by the Presidential Liaison Officer, Sen. Ita Enang on Wednesday, confirmed this.
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill seeks to promote economic efficiency, maintain competitiveness in the Nigerian market and protect the welfare of consumers.

It also seeks to avoid monopolies and abuse of dominant market positions as well as establish a Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal.
