Though the agenda for the meeting is not known, it may however not be unconnected to the worsening insecurity across the country.

Recall that some Senators had on Wednesday, at a plenary dedicated to issues of security in the country, called on President Buhari to sack the service chiefs.

The Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe had gone as afar as calling on Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government to resign.

Also, members of the House of Representatives during plenary on Wednesday called on the service chiefs to resign their positions.
