President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the former Managing Director of National Concord Newspapers and first female Editor-in-Chief of a daily, Dr Doyin Abiola.

She turned 73

Doyin Abiola is the widow of the late acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election in Nigeria, Chief Moshood Abiola.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, the president described Abiola as highly resourceful and intellectually savvy.

He commended her for her contribution to the growth of journalism, noting that her strength of character, managerial skills and visionary leadership were very glaring and well used.

He prayed God to grant Abiola longer life in good health and with more wisdom.
