President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, but failed to dissolve his cabinet.
Acknowledging that “today is the last time we will meet before the commencement of the second tenure” he directed that the Ministers should continue working till May 28, when they should hand over to their Permanent Secretaries.

He further directed the Ministers to submit their hand-over notes to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, also on May 28.
He thanked the ministers for their contributions towards the success of his administration saying they should be proud of having been part of a government that liberated local government areas under the control of Boko Haram.
On their part, the 31 Ministers took turn to thank the President for finding them worthy to work with him.
