BREAKING: Senator Dino Melaye arrested

Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West in the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, has been arrested.

He was arrested Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport.

The senator announced his arrest in a tweet he sent.

It reads: “I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in.”

It would be recalled that the police had declared Melaye wanted over a number of issues one of which had to do with illegal possession of arms.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State, Ali Janga, the senator was already on the Interpol watchlist.
