A new Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed will be announced by the Federal Government on Wednesday just as Ibrahim Idris goes on retirement.

The new IGP, Mr. Mohammed is an Assistant Inspector General of Police and hails from Nasarawa State.

A top police source told The Next Edition the new IGP will be unveiled at a press conference to be addressed by outgoing IGP Idris on Tuesday.

The source said Tuesday will be the last full day Mr. Idris will serve at the Loius Edet House, Abuja.
