BREAKING: Bukola Saraki loses third LG as APC leads with over 30,000 votes

Senate President Bukola Saraki has lost a third local government area in Kwara central senatorial district.

With only one more local government left, he might just be not be returning to the Red Chamber.

From the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Ibrahim Oloriegbe has a total of 72,277 while Bukola Saraki is trailing behind with 38,919.

A breakdown of the results showed that in Ilorin south, Oloriegbe got 26,331 while Saraki got 13,013 votes. In Ilorin east, the APC candidate polled 30,014 votes while Saraki got 14,654. In Asa, Oloriegbe polled 15,932 while Saraki got 11,252 votes.

The result of Ilorin west, where Saraki is from is still awaited. The senate president would need to poll over 33,000 votes to retain his seat.
