The resignation of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, has been confirmed by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
Senator Abubakar Kyari, the acting National Chairman of the party, confirmed Adamu’s resignation, adding that the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has also resigned.
Kyari also announced that he has taken over as acting chairman, while Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, has become the acting Secretary.

According to him, the National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings slated for Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed.
According to reports, seventeen members of the committee were in attendance with only National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka and the National Women Leader, Dr. Betta Edu absent after due permission.
