The two goals were scored in first and second half at the 28′ and 64′ by K. Balde and K. Diatta respectively.

The encounter was their group C opening match on Sunday at the on-going African Cup of Nations, AFCON, taking place in Egypt.

The Taifa Stars are reportedly making a return to the tournament after 39 years, courtesy of their Nigerian tactician, Amuneke, who has made history by turning around the fortunes of the team.

The Terenga Lions are the No1 ranked African team in the FIFA World rankings and is considered favourites given their impressive performances during the qualifying games.
