The Super Falcons of Nigeria, on Monday lost their last group A match in the ongoing FIFA women’s World Cup in France.
They lost 1-0 to the host nation, France.
France, in the second half of the game through a Wendie Renard penalty in the 79th minute scored the only goal of the game.
The Super Falcons ended the game with 10 women after Ngozi Ebere was shown a second yellow card in the match.
The French, meanwhile, ended the group stage with three wins out of three games to lead group A ahead of second place Norway.
The Super Falcons will have to know if they qualify for the round of 16 as the best losers.
