A 20 foot container has fallen on two cars along Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Next Edition gathered that the accident may have happened between 3 and 4 p.m on Saturday.
A witness, who saw the accident after it happened, Okechukwu Maduagwu, told the Next Edition that the accident happened between Leventis Bus stop and Sheraton Hotels and Showers, Ikeja. “I passed the area around 4p.m on my way from Allen Avenue to Ojuelegba and saw the container on two cars. There was smoke coming out from under the container but I am not sure where exactly it was coming from.
“I also saw a man on the floor while some rescue personnel where trying to attend to others trapped under the container.”

According to him, at the time he passed the scene of the accident officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Services and the bomb squad were on ground.
Meanwhile, the General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adesina Tiamiyu, has advised motorists travelling between Maryland and Ikeja to seek alternative routes.
