Suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorists group on Saturday attacked a village on the outskirts of Maiduguri, Borno State, killing one disabled person and razing 65 houses.
According to a statement issued by the North-East Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Bashir Garga on Sunday which was made available to the Next Edition, the “Suspected insurgents attacked Bale Shuwa in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State around 7.30pm on Saturday. One disabled person was allegedly killed while 65 houses were burnt.”

He also disclosed that the insurgents took away 200 cows, 300 sheep and some goats after the attack.
Meanwhile, Garga said many residents of the village were forced to flee to avoid being killed by the terrorists though some people were injured.
