Bits and Pieces Unveiling of Don Sylvester Records and blood battle

It was two events rolled into one as the Entertainment industry recently witnessed the unveiling of Don Sylvester Records and the premiere of the movie, Blood Battle by Halima Abubakar.

The cool evening of July 21, 2018, saw a gathering of entertainment gurus at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos. The occasion was the unveiling of a new record label, Don Sylvester Records, and the movie premiere of the ‘Blood Battle’ produced by Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar.

The red carpet event started by 7:30p.m with dignitaries and invited guests taking pictures and doing interviews. The atmosphere was electrifying with actors turning up in beautiful and eye-popping attires. To mention, but a few, Tonto Dike, Halima Abubakar and Brobrisky were a delight to behold.

The night was opened with introduction of the new artists signed to the label , Adam Swags and K. West Balogun.

The first music performance of the night was by an artist known as Piper followed by King Watata, an artist known for his infusion of the Jamaican style music in his work.

The opening remark was given by Mr Godwill Iroegbu, the General manager of Don Sylvester Records. He thanked all present and prayed for blessings for all who joined to celebrate the record label opening.

In his opening speech, the CEO of the record label, Don Sylvester Nweke, thanked all present and welcomed everyone to the unveiling ceremony.

Spearheading the unveiling was Don Sylvester and his wife, assisted by Tonto Dikeh, Bobrisky, Anita Joseph, and others. The cake was cut with all the dignitaries as well as the entire DSR family. This was followed by the unveiling of the official DSR logo by the CEO.

The label will be handling Music Production, Artists Management, Music promotions, DJ Services and Event management.

K. West, the second signee on the label, showcased his rap powers in his song ‘That’s How We Roll’ to which the audience was thrilled. He was joined on the stage by actress, Toyin Abraham, who danced to the second song he performed.

The first signee on the label, Adam Sawgs, was discovered at the NYSC camp at the first ever NYSC Camp Idol in the Lagos camp. He is an Afro Soul artist and he performed his songs as well to the pleasure of the audience.

The second part of the evening was the showcasing of the movie ‘Blood Battle’ produced by Halima Abubakar.

Starring in the movie are Zack Orji, Halima herself, Uche Elendu, Lilian Esaro and others. The audience watched with rapt attention and the movie was given a round of applause.

Dignitaries present at the event Ngozi Orji, Tonto Dikeh, Mona-Lisa, Bobrisky, Anita Joseph, Toyin Abraham and others.
