Yohanna Kukah, younger brother to Bishop Hassan Kukah and paramount ruler of Ikulu Kingdom, has been freed by his abductors.
He was kidnapped on January 2 at his residence in Anchuna Village, Zangon Kataf local government in Southern Kaduna and released on Thursday after spending nine days with the kidnappers.
A close member of the family who sought anonymity said that the chief returned home Thursday evening unharmed.

The source said the traditional council was yet to issue any formal statement on the issue, and added that “most importantly, our Chief has returned hale and hearty and we thank God for that.”
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Mukhtar Aliyu, confirmed the release.
It would be recalled that Kaduna State Police Command alerted that the paramount ruler had been kidnapped.
Aliyu said the king was kidnapped at his residence in the night. (NAN)
