The biggest night in music was the 61st Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, United States of America. Music makers and fans were thrilled to witness yet another superlative outing of the Grammy awards by the organizers.
Alicia Keys who has won 15 Grammy awards herself was the host – the first woman to lead the show since Queen Latifah MC’d in 2005.
In her opening monologue she brought out Jada Pinkett Smith, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and in a surprise appearance Michelle Obama. Each woman spoke on what music meant to them.
The night was filled with performances and tributes to Dolly Parton, Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin. A special performance by Jennifer Lopez, Smokey Robinson, Ne-Yo and even the host Alicia Keys celebrated the 60th year of Motown.
