Bayern Munich have dismissed coach Niko Kovac, the German Bundesliga champions have confirmed.
The decision comes a day after Bayern were defeated 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Earlier reports had suggested Kovac would survive as Bayern Munich coach for at least two more games – Wednesday’s Europeans Champions League match against Olympiakos and Saturday’s encounter with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
